Testing task: Navigate sequentially through a checkbox group

Describe how VoiceOver for macOS behaves when performing task "Navigate both forward and backward into and out of the checkbox group."

Test instructions

  1. Restore default settings for VoiceOver for macOS. For help, read Configuring Screen Readers for Testing.
  2. Activate the "Open test page" button below, which opens the example to test in a new window
  3. Toggle Quick Nav OFF by pressing the Left Arrow and Right Arrow keys at the same time.
  4. Navigate both forward and backward into and out of the checkbox group.
  5. Using the following commands, Navigate both forward and backward into and out of the checkbox group.
    • Control+Option+Right
    • Ctrl+Option+Left

Success Criteria

To pass this test, VoiceOver for macOS needs to meet all the following assertions when each specified command is executed:

  1. Role 'group' is conveyed
  2. Group name 'Sandwich Condiments' is conveyed
  3. Group boundaries at start and end of group are conveyed
